Animals confirmed in GTA 6
Game Informer's September 29 interview report describes wildlife on land, in the air and in the sea. Named examples include flamingos, manatees, pelicans, alligators, green iguanas, cane toads, feral cats and rhesus macaques.
These are examples, not an exhaustive checklist. The original report discusses improved animal rendering, but visual detail alone does not establish a hunting economy or a completion requirement.
Rare, Discoverable and Legendary animals
The same direct Rockstar reporting identifies these tracking categories. It does not disclose the identities of the harder-to-find animals.
For players planning ahead, the practical distinction is between a confirmed category and a documented task. We can describe the former today; we cannot yet supply reliable spawn coordinates, encounter requirements, routes or rewards.
How to use this reference
Use it to check whether a claimed animal or feature has an identifiable source. A useful future entry should tell you what was observed, where the evidence appears, and whether an encounter can be repeated. We will add location advice only when verified gameplay supports it.
Start with Leonida's named regions to understand the setting. The weather guide covers a separate world system; it does not establish how weather changes animal behavior.
Coverage and updates
This is a pre-release reference, not a completed bestiary. Named examples come from the linked interview, and we have not tested animal encounters ourselves. Read the September news roundup for the wider context.
