October 13 report: an unconfirmed Q1 2027 window
GamesBeat's original report, published October 13 and updated October 14, cites four anonymous industry sources claiming a PC release is planned for January–March 2027. It says Rockstar did not respond before publication.
This is attributed reporting, not an official announcement. The reported window does not establish a specific day, PC preorder, supported storefront or hardware specification. It does not change the official-status table above.
What September's PC reporting actually says
GamesRadar's September 17 report attributes comments about PC's increasing importance to Take-Two's CEO at its shareholder meeting. It does not report an announced GTA VI PC date.
We have reviewed the written coverage, not independently listened to the meeting replay. That is why the remark appears here as attributed reporting and this page is labeled Analysis. It does not change the official platform table.
October 7 Xbox cloud-streaming clarification
GamesRadar reports that Xbox chief strategy officer Matthew Ball rejected both exclusive-streaming claims and PC streaming access. We reviewed the outlet's written account; the original social post was not accessible for independent verification.
Cloud access and a native PC release are separate questions. This correction establishes neither a PC release date nor confirmed availability on other streaming services or devices. See the October roundup for the news timeline.
Planning a purchase
If PC is the only platform you intend to use, wait for an identifiable Rockstar announcement before paying for a purported PC preorder or making a hardware purchase specifically for this game. Console pricing and preload instructions do not establish a PC offer.
If you are considering a console edition, compare Standard and Ultimate, review the release-date hub, and check your platform account's region before ordering.
Update record

October 12, 2026: rechecked the official console lineup and added the attributed Xbox streaming correction. The native PC announcement status is unchanged in the reviewed sources.
October 1, 2026: first publication of this reference; official platform pages checked and September reporting reviewed. We will change the status table when new original evidence establishes a PC announcement, date or requirements.
For the separate question of multiplayer, see GTA 6 Online status.
